The Droplet Series is a set of collaborations with artists of different disciplines focused on nurturing artistic projects at conception. The Droplets are small-scale projects formed between Drip Symphony and one collaborator, are intentionally diverse in content and style, and serve both as a completed work and a starting point for future collaboration. The goal of each is to explore and refine the process of artistic invention.
The Droplet Series is based in the belief that artistic processes of different mediums are more similar than dissimilar, and that every artistic project, regardless of medium, has the same potential impact.

"Droplet #1" is a short film created in collaboration with dancer-choreographer Kilo V. Martin. It portrays an imagined history of two railroad workers, one Irish and one Black, through the eyes of a child at an abandoned railroad track. The film blends Irish and step choreography, baroque musical styles, gandy dancing, and traditional rail work songs to tell the story through a surreal lens.
Drop in at Plays and Players from 7:30-9 to watch the film, talk to the people behind the project, look at artifacts from the shoot, and have a drink at Quig's Pub. We'll screen the video at 7:30, 8, and 8:30.
"Droplet #1 - with Kilo V. Martin" is the first piece in Drip Symphony's Droplet Series. You can learn more about the Droplet Series here.
